Mr. President:
Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 547
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 16, after the semicolon, insert "RECONCILING MULTIPLE AMENDMENTS TO THE SAME SECTION OF LAW IN LAWS 2009;".
2. On page 2, strike lines 21 and 22 and insert in lieu thereof "that refers to the independent expenditure to be covered by the report and requests contributions to fund that independent expenditure.".
3. On page 3, line 17, strike "of the person" and insert in lieu thereof ", address and phone number of a responsible officer".
4. On page 5, lines 1 through 6, strike Paragraph (1) in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following:
"(1) an internal political communication primarily limited to:
(a) the contributors to a qualified political party, political committee, independent expenditure committee or similar enterprise;
(b) the officers, management, staff and stockholders of a corporation or similar enterprise; or
(c) the members of a labor organization or other membership organization;".
5. On page 7, strike line 14 and insert in lieu thereof "that refers to the independent expenditure to be covered by the report and requests contributions to fund that independent expenditure;".
6. On page 11, line 20, after "make", insert "contributions to candidates, campaign committees or political committees or".
7. On page 11, line 20, before the semicolon, insert "or any combination thereof".
