    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 446

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 13, after the period insert "No member of a local school board shall be a member of a governing body for a charter school or employed in any capacity by a locally chartered charter school located within the local school board's school district during the term of office for which the member was elected or appointed.".

    2. On page 10, lines 12 and 13, strike "for assistance in negotiating" and insert in lieu thereof "to finalize".

    3. On pages 13 and 14, strike paragraph (18) in its entirety.

    4. Renumber the succeeding paragraph accordingly.

    5. On page 14, line 17, after the period insert "If they cannot agree, either party may appeal to the secretary as provided in Subsection A of this Section.".

    6. On page 18, lines 14 and 15, strike "collecting and analyzing data" and insert in lieu thereof "reviewing the data provided by the charter school".

    7. On page 25, strike lines 13 through 16 in their entirety.

    8. Renumber the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
