    Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 425

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 14, before the period, insert "; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION".

    2. On page 3, after line 25, insert the following new section:

    "SECTION 2. APPROPRIATION.--Eight million nine hundred twenty thousand three hundred dollars ($8,920,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2012 to pay the costs of standards-based assessments. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2012 shall revert to the general fund.".
