AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NATIVE AMERICAN VETERANS' INCOME TAX SETTLEMENT FUND.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the taxation and revenue department for expenditure in fiscal year 2012 for the Native American veterans' income tax settlement fund to make settlement payments to certain Native American veterans who had state personal income taxes withheld from their military income. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2012 shall revert to the general fund.
