Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 284
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 7, line 19, after "agency", insert ", acting under contract with such a public official or governmental entity, that is".
2. On page 71, line 13, after the period, insert "The cost of the translation shall be paid by the state or foreign country issuing the record.".
3. On page 73, line 24, before "EFFECTIVE", insert "CONTINGENT".
4. On page 73, line 25, after "is", strike the remainder of the line and insert in lieu thereof:
"the later of:
A. the date that the United States deposits the instrument of ratification for the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance with the Hague conference on private international law, as certified by the secretary of human services; or
B. January 1, 2012.".
