                         SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE CORPORATIONS AND                       TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

                         SENATE BILL 179

AMENDMENT sponsored by SENATOR HOWIE C. MORALES

     1. On page 5, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following new subsection:

          "G. Any taxpayer who claims a deduction on fuel loaded or uses a common carrier in a locomotive engine from gross receipts or from compensating tax shall provide input and funding for workforce development through public education and higher education institutions in New Mexico."

     2. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
