    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 35

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 17, after "SUBCONTRACTORS", insert "--ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS".

    2. On page 1, line 17, before "A", insert the subsection designation "A.".

    3. On page 1, lines 21 and 22, strike "two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)".

    4. On page 1, line 22, strike the closing quotation mark.

    5. On page 1, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Prior to the close-out payment, the contractor shall provide to the owner a list that has been signed and notarized by the contractor and by each subcontractor whose payment exceeds the threshold specified in Subsection A of this section certifying that the required bonds are in place."".,

and thence referred to the CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE.
