HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___2__ to HOUSE CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 127, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Terry H. McMillan

    1. On page 13, line 1, strike "serving in an advisory capacity".

    2. On page 13, line 3, strike "substances listed in this subsection" and insert in lieu thereof "drugs that are used in primary care".

    3. On page 13, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new subsection:

         "D. In establishing the formulary, the board shall give due consideration to the safety required in the prescribing, administering and dispensing of drugs that are used in primary care practice to at-risk populations, including patients:

             (1) under twelve years of age or over sixty-five years of age;

             (2) with hypertension;

             (3) with heart disease;

             (4) with diabetes;

             (5) with mental illness; or

             (6) with disorders of the eye.".

    4. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    5. On page 15, lines 4 and 7, strike each occurrence of "D" and insert in lieu thereof "E".

    6. On page 17, line 4, strike "F" and insert in lieu thereof "G".
