HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE BILL 282, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Ben Lujan

    1. On page 2, line 2, after "cost" insert ", after any available federal tax credit is applied,".

    2. On page 4, between lines 3 and 4, insert:

         "G. A husband and wife who file separate returns for a taxable year in which they could have filed a joint return may each claim only one-half of the vehicle natural gas conversion credit that would have been allowed on a joint return.".

    3. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    4. On page 4, line 23, after "cost" insert ", after any available federal tax credit is applied,".

    5. On page 6, between lines 21 and 22, insert:

         "G. A husband and wife who file separate returns for a taxable year in which they could have filed a joint return may each claim only one-half of the vehicle natural gas conversion credit that would have been allowed on a joint return.".

    6. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    7. On page 7, line 16, after "cost" insert ", after any available federal tax credit is applied,".

    8. On page 9, line 25, after "cost" insert ", after any available federal tax credit is applied,".
