AN ACT
RELATING TO STATE EMPLOYEES; LIMITING ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. EMPLOYEES ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE--RESTORATION OR TERMINATION.--After the effective date of this act, state employees shall not be placed on administrative leave longer than ninety days. An employee whose administrative leave exceeds ninety days shall, on the ninety-first day, be restored to employment status or terminated. This section does not apply to administrative leave pursuant to the federal Family Medical Leave Act of 1993.
