AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR A JUVENILE REHABILITATION PROGRAM IN LAS VEGAS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to pay for operation of a juvenile rehabilitation program in Las Vegas. This appropriation is contingent upon enactment in 2009 of legislation authorizing a facility to be designed, built and leased in San Miguel county for this purpose. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
