AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR PILOT PROJECTS TO ENHANCE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, HEALTHY AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE FOODS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure by the New Mexico department of agriculture in fiscal years 2010, 2011 and 2012 for pilot projects to address infrastructure, distribution and transportation needs to enhance access to affordable, healthy and culturally appropriate foods in rural and underserved urban areas of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2012 shall revert to the general fund.
