    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 152, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. Strike Senate Public Affairs Committee Amendment 1.

    2. On page 1, line 13, strike "FRESHMAN YEAR" and insert in lieu thereof "FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE".

    3. On page 1, line 14, before the period, insert "; PROVIDING FOR COPIES OF THE REPORTS TO BE PROVIDED TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT".

    4. On page 1, line 19, strike "FRESHMAN YEAR" and insert in lieu thereof "FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE".

    5. On page 1, line 21, after the subsection designation "A.", strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 22 through 25 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof "Upon request from a public high school or school district superintendent in New Mexico, a public post-secondary educational institution shall provide a report of students who enroll in the institution within three years of graduating from that high school or".

    6. On page 2, line 14, strike the ending quotation mark.

    7. On page 2, between lines 14 and 15, insert the following new subsection:

         "C. The higher education department shall be provided with copies of the reports."".
