    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 147

has had it under consideration and reports same WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 20, after "hours", insert ", provided that within twenty-four hours, the person shall be seen by a health professional in person, who may be assisted by a mental health professional via telehealth, where available, shall be evaluated and shall be provided initial mental health services through the single entity for statewide behavioral health services. Where available, the person shall be transferred to an alternative inpatient facility.".

    2. On page 4, line 2, strike "and". 

    3. On page 4, line 5, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

    4. On page 4, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following new paragraph:

             "(5) shall be released from detention only during daylight hours.".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
