HOUSE BILL 904

AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE STATE ETHICS COMMISSION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred eighty thousand dollars ($280,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to pay the organizational and operational costs of the state ethics commission if one is created pursuant to House Appropriations and Finance Committee Substitute for House Judiciary Committee Substitute for House Bills 151 and 614 or similar legislation of the first session of the forty-ninth legislature. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
