    Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 896

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO NOT PASS, but that

HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 896

DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 16, before the period insert “; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY”.

     2. On page 1, line 19, strike “Ten thousand dollars ($10,000)” and insert in lieu thereof “Up to twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000)”.

     3. On page 1, line 22, strike “year” and insert in lieu thereof “years 2009 and”.

     4. On page 2, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new section:

     “Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.”.
