AN ACT
RELATING TO CULTURAL AFFAIRS; REQUIRING THAT THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT HIRE A MANAGER AND AN ARCHITECT FOR DESIGNING, LANDSCAPING, REPAIRING, MAINTAINING AND RENOVATING FORT STANTON.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. FORT STANTON--MANAGER AND ARCHITECT.--As funds become available, the cultural affairs department shall employ a:
A. full-time manager to oversee the protection, preservation and maintenance of Fort Stanton and its interpretive displays for public use; and
B. full-time historical architect to develop preservation plans for Fort Stanton and its historic structures, create reports and investigate and develop archaeological remains and cultural landscapes at Fort Stanton.
