    Your HEALTH AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 729

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 5, line 14, after the semicolon, strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 15 and 16 in their entirety.

     2. On page 6, line 25, strike "departments" and insert in lieu thereof "department of information technology and the department of finance and administration".

     3. On page 12, line 2, strike "propose" and insert in lieu thereof "consider for approval".

     4. On page 12, line 24, strike "nineteen" and insert in lieu thereof "fifteen".

     5. On page 13, line 1, strike "five" and insert in lieu thereof "four".

     6. On page 13, strike lines 2 and 3 and insert in lieu thereof "who are not from the higher education department or the public education department;".

     7. On page 13, lines 18 through 23, strike Paragraph (6) in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

          "(6) two members appointed at-large by the governor;".

     8. On page 14, line 1, after the semicolon, insert "and".

     9. On page 14, line 3, strike the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof a period.

     10. On page 14, strike lines 4 through 12 in their entirety.

     11. On page 14, strike lines 17 and 18 in their entirety.

     12. On page 14, lines 19 through 23, remove the bracket and line-through and after the semicolon on line 23, insert "and".

     13. Renumber the paragraphs accordingly.

     14. On page 15, lines 4 through 6, strike Subsection C in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

          "C. No appointee or designee of the commission from a state agency shall be less than the deputy head of the agency.".

     15. On page 17, line 18, after "equipment", insert "and associated software".

     16. On page 17, line 22, after "of", insert "amortization and".

     17. On page 18, line 12, strike "joint powers agreement" and insert in lieu thereof "memorandum of understanding with the department of finance and administration".

     18. On page 18, strike lines 21 and 22 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

          "C. ensure that an amount equal to at least the annual depreciation and amortization be deposited in a".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE 

COMMITTEE.
