AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FIRST PHASE OF A RESEARCH PROJECT TO DETERMINE THE VIABILITY OF NEW MEXICO-GROWN CAMELINA AS A BIOFUEL.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for the first phase of a research project to determine the viability of a sustainable clean energy program using New Mexico-grown camelina as a biofuel. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
