    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 658, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 5, line 3, strike the closing quotation mark and between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new subsection:

         "N. No prosecution shall be commenced pursuant to Subsection B, H or M of this section against a person who commits an assault or battery upon a firefighter in an attempt to rescue a person, a domestic animal or a thing of value."".
