    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 600

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 22, after the period, insert:

     "A good faith denial of a written request to inspect public records shall not subject a person to prosecution under this section if the person denied the request based on a reasonable belief that the requested records were not subject to inspection under the Inspection of Public Records Act.".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
