AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ENRICHMENT SUPPORT SERVICES TO CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE EIGHT IN THE WEST LAS VEGAS SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to fund enrichment support services after school and during the summer for children in kindergarten through grade eight and their families in the west Las Vegas school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
