AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A PROGRAM OF PRE- AND POST-DEPLOYMENT BRAIN INJURY SCREENING.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to the school of medicine to administer a program to screen national guard personnel for brain injury both pre- and post-deployment to Afghanistan, Iraq and other areas of armed conflict. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
