AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR A STATEWIDE HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM EDUCATION INITIATIVE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to implement a statewide hospitality and tourism education initiative in public schools throughout the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
