    Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 490

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 13, strike "INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE" and insert in lieu thereof "UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY".

    2. On page 2, line 11, strike "INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE" and insert in lieu thereof "UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY".

    3. On page 2, line 24, strike "internal revenue service" and insert in lieu thereof "United States department of the treasury".

    4. On page 2, line 25, strike "electronic" and after "levies", insert "and offsets".

    5. On page 3, line 2, strike "internal revenue service" and insert in lieu thereof "United States department of the treasury".

    6. On page 3, line 6, strike "internal revenue service" and insert in lieu thereof "United States department of the treasury".

    7. On page 3, line 9, after the period, insert "If an agreement requires the department to pay a fee to the United States department of the treasury for an offset against a taxpayer's federal income tax refund, the department may impose and collect an equal fee upon the taxpayer, and the fee received is appropriated to the department to reimburse it for the fee paid to the United States department of the treasury.".
