    Your VOTERS AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 487, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, line 10, strike "C" and insert in lieu thereof

"D".

     2. On page 2, between lines 17 and 18, insert a new subsection to read:

          "C. The secretary of state shall establish a secure transmission system and issue instructions for the electronic transmittal of absentee ballots, which shall be available for use by the county clerks for the electronic delivery of absentee ballots.".

     3. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
