AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for management of soil and water conservation districts and operation of district programs and projects pursuant to the Soil and Water Conservation District Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
