AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FOR INFORMATION, REFERRAL, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, WORKSHOPS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONAL ASSISTANCE FOR ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND ARTISTS IN A METROPOLITAN AREA WITH A POPULATION OF MORE THAN SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to allow the department to contract for organizational support services for arts organizations and artists, including information, referral, technical assistance, workshops and advertising, in a metropolitan area with a population of more than seven hundred fifty thousand as of the last federal decennial census. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
