Synopsis of Bill

Senate Joint Memorial 45 requests support for the “Tour of Nations" bicycle event. The “Tour of

Nations" is organized by the Pueblo of Isleta, the Pueblo of Acoma, the Pueblo of Laguna, the

Pueblo of Zuni, and the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial organizations. It is a five-day event, where

participants are exposed to New Mexico history. (Anasazi, Mexican, early Anglo, and

Indian).This Joint Memorial requests support from all State Agencies for this event. Copies of

this memorial are requested to be circulated to all State Agencies.

SIGNIFICANT ISSUES

This bill will support tourism, economic development, and educational opportunities in West

Central New Mexico.
