SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 176 appropriates $100.0 from the general fund to the Board of Regents of the
University of New Mexico for the Department of Media Arts to provide digital media training
and outreach for youth in Albuquerque.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the
general fund.
The HED states that a request was not submitted by UNM to the New Mexico Higher Education
Department for review. SB176 is not included in the Department’s executive funding
recommendation for FY09.
