SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 107 appropriates $100.0 from the general fund to the Tourism Department, Sports
Authority Division to purchase and distribute to students tickets to attend the "learning at the
game" events at professional basketball games.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the
general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The PED states:
During the 2007 Legislature SB 611 was passed for FY 2008. The bill provided $5.0 to
purchase and distribute tickets to school students for semiprofessional basketball
games.
