Synopsis of Bill

House Bill 511 Making an Appropriation for Bernalillo County to Contract for Commemorative

Murals for the Atrisco Land Grant’s 300

Anniversary, appropriates $25.0 thousand from the

general fund to DFA for commemorative murals.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

The appropriation of $25.0 thousand contained in this bill is a non-recurring expense to the

general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY09 shall

revert to the general fund.

SIGNIFICANT ISSUES

HB 511 proposes a $25.0 thousand general fund appropriation to the Local Government Division

of the Department of Finance and Administration for expenditure in FY09 for Bernalillo County

to contract with a muralist from the South Valley to create commemorative murals for the

Atrisco Land Grant's three hundredth anniversary.
