SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 126 appropriates $2 million from the general fund to the Public Education
Department for the purpose of supporting registered apprenticeship programs through the
Apprenticeship Assistance Act.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
Funding for this program of $650.0 is included in the General appropriations Act.
The appropriation of $2 million contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert
to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
PED administers the Apprenticeship Assistance funds in accordance with legislative
requirements defined within the Act
