SUMMARY
Synopsis
House Bill 59 appropriates $165,000 to the Board of Regents of ENMU for expenditure in FY09
to establish and operate professional development schools associated with ENMU’s College of
Education and Technology (CET).
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $165,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY09 shall revert to the
General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
According to a narrative provided by ENMU, CET operates two professional development
schools. One is in Portales at James Elementary School and the other is in Roswell at the
