AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR GADSDEN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal years 2008 through 2010 to purchase and install playground equipment and improve playgrounds and playing fields in the Gadsden independent school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
