AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO FUND DATA RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS OF MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN A COLLEGE- AND CAREER-PREPARATORY PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to fund data research and analysis of middle school and high school student participation in a college- and career-preparatory educational program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
