AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR THE STATEWIDE TRANSITION COORDINATING COUNCIL.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support the statewide transition coordinating council. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
