AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO FUND DANCE PROGRAMS FOR A MODERN DANCE COMPANY THAT SERVES LOW-INCOME, HOMELESS, DISABLED AND INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to fund dance programs, including dance productions, dance classes and educational outreach, conducted by a modern dance company in the city of Albuquerque for adults, children and youth, including low-income, homeless, disabled and incarcerated individuals. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
