AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT A CLUBHOUSE-MODEL PROGRAM FOR PERSONS WITH SEVERE MENTAL ILLNESS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support a day program for persons with severe mental illness using the clubhouse model to facilitate recovery through socialization and life skills training; vocational rehabilitation and employment services; educational and housing services; and reintegration into the greater community. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
