AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES ON THE NAVAJO NATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to provide funding for emergency management services for the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
