AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SITE LOCATED IN MCKINLEY COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to undertake, in cooperation with the veterans' services department, a feasibility study for and to plan and design an economic development site located in McKinley county, which shall include a veterans' services center and health care facility, commercial components, a museum and a national cemetery. The museum shall serve as the showcase for the Navajo code talkers' legacy. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
