AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S SHELTER COORDINATOR POSITION IN SHIPROCK.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for a shelter coordinator position at the shelter for women and children in Shiprock. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
