AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO HOST OR SPONSOR A FORUM ON TRENDS AMONG HISPANICS IN NEW MEXICO AND THE UNITED STATES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to host or sponsor a forum on trends among Hispanics in New Mexico and the United States. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
