AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM TEACHING MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SKILLS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for Luna community college to fund a technical preparatory summer program that teaches mathematics, science and technology skills to high school students from Robertson high school, west Las Vegas high school, Santa Rosa high school, Springer high school, Maxwell high school, Mora high school and Wagon Mound high school. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
