AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT ON THE NAVAJO NATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for case fees and program expenses for child support enforcement cases involving clients on the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
