AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FOR A FILM PROJECT ON PADRE ANTONIO JOSE MARTINEZ, A PROMINENT PERSON IN NEW MEXICO HISTORY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for a film project on Padre Antonio Jose Martinez, a leading historical figure in New Mexico during the nineteenth century. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
