AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES COMMISSION TO PROVIDE CIVIL LEGAL AID TO LOW-INCOME NEW MEXICANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the civil legal services commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to provide civil legal aid to low-income New Mexicans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
