AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SIXTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT TO IMPLEMENT AND SUPPORT JUVENILE AND ADULT OFFENDER RESTORATIVE JUSTICE SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred seventy thousand dollars ($270,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the sixth judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to provide juvenile and adult offender restorative justice services in the sixth judicial district, including mediation, community conferencing and justice circles. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
