AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NORTHERN NEW MEXICO STATE SCHOOL TO INCREASE SALARIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thirty-two thousand three hundred dollars ($332,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of northern New Mexico state school for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to increase faculty and staff salaries to a level closer to peer institutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
