AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A CONTRACT FOR PRE-KINDERGARTEN SERVICES IN TRUCHAS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract with a preschool provider in Truchas to provide a pre-kindergarten program that is combined with a preschool program for two-, three- and five-year-old children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
